Subsidised Theatre Tickets Terms & Conditions

By submitting an application for subsidised pantomime tickets, applicants confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

How to save the Staff Benefits and Wellbeing section to your home screen

iPad or iPhone

  1. Launch “Safari” app.
  2. Enter into the address field the URL of the website you want to create a shortcut to. Tap “Go.”
  3. Tap the icon featuring a right-pointing arrow coming out of a box along the top of the Safari window to open a drop-down menu.
  4. Tap “Add to Home Screen.” The Add to Home dialog box will appear, with the icon that will be used for this website on the left side of the dialog box.
  5. Enter the name for the shortcut using the on-screen keyboard and tap “Add.” Safari will close automatically and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPad’s desktop.

Android

  1. Launch “Chrome” app.
  2. Open this link.
  3. Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to homescreen.
  4. You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.

Eligibility

1.1 The scheme is only open to employees of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
1.2 Applicants must be employed by York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust at the time of application and at the time tickets are issued.
1.3 Staff Benefits reserves the right to request evidence of employment and to withdraw any allocation where eligibility criteria are not met.

Applications

2.1 Applications must be submitted via the designated Microsoft Form link available on the staff benefits website during the advertised application period.
2.2 Only one application per person, per venue, will be permitted.
2.3 Duplicate applications will be removed from the draw and may result in withdrawal of the application altogether.
2.4 Submission of an application does not guarantee tickets will be allocated.

Ticket Allocation

3.1 Where applications exceed the number of tickets available, tickets will be allocated through a random draw.
3.2 The decision of Staff Benefits regarding ticket allocation is final.

Successful Applicants

4.1 Successful applicants will be notified via the email address provided on their application.
4.2 Applicants are responsible for ensuring their contact details are correct and for monitoring their inbox, including junk or spam folders.
4.3 The notification email will include payment instructions and the deadline by which payment must be received.
4.4 Failure to receive or read the email will not be accepted as grounds for extending payment deadlines.

Payment

5.1 Successful applicants must make payment within the timeframe stated in their notification email.
5.2 Payment must be made using the method specified by Staff Benefits.
5.3 Failure to make payment by the stated deadline will result in the ticket offer being automatically withdrawn.
5.4 Staff Benefits is under no obligation to issue reminders before the payment deadline expires.

Seating Arrangements and Additional Tickets

6.1 Ticket allocation and seating arrangements are at the discretion of the venue and not Staff Benefits. Any queries relating to seating, ticket allocation, accessibility or ticket preferences should be directed to the venue by successful applicants. Staff Benefits are unable to make changes to seating allocations.
6.2 Successful applicants will be allocated a maximum of two discounted tickets per person. Should additional tickets be required, these may be purchased directly from the venue at the full advertised price when the allocated tickets are paid for, subject to availability.

Reserve List and Reallocation

7.1 A reserve list will be generated as part of the original random draw.
7.2 Any tickets not purchased within the specified timeframe will be automatically reallocated to applicants on the reserve list in the order determined by the draw.
7.3 Reserve applicants will be contacted via email and given a specified period in which to purchase the tickets.
7.4 If a reserve applicant does not complete payment within the allocated timeframe, the offer will be withdrawn and passed to the next applicant on the reserve list.
7.5 The reserve list order is final and cannot be challenged or amended.

Refunds, Exchanges and Transfers

8.1 Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable. 
8.2 Tickets may not be exchanged for alternative dates, performances, or venues.
8.3 Tickets must not be sold for profit, auctioned, or used for commercial purposes.
8.4 Staff Benefits reserves the right to revoke future eligibility for individuals found to have misused the scheme.

Changes and Cancellations

9.1 Staff Benefits reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the scheme at any time.
9.2 In the event that a performance is cancelled or rescheduled, any arrangements will be subject to the venue's terms and conditions.
9.3 Staff Benefits accepts no responsibility for changes made by the venue.

Data Protection

10.1 Personal information collected during the application process will be used solely for administering the ticket scheme.
10.2 Information will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and Trust policies.

General

11.1 Submission of an application confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
11.2 Staff Benefits reserves the right to refuse applications or withdraw allocations where these Terms & Conditions have not been complied with.
11.3 The decision of Staff Benefits in all matters relating to the administration of the scheme shall be final.
