Update: Malton Hospital services
10 July 2026
We are pleased to confirm that Malton Urgent Treatment Centre has now reopened and patients can attend as normal.
Work continues to restore services at the main hospital following this week's fire. While the main hospital remains temporarily closed, our priority is to reopen and resume services as soon as it is safe to do so.
Appointments
If you have an appointment at Malton Hospital, please do not attend unless you have been contacted and advised to do so. Our teams are reviewing all affected appointments and will contact patients directly to rearrange appointments or discuss the next steps.
Blood tests
Patients who require a blood test are asked to attend the Community Diagnostic Centre at Eastfield, Scarborough, or York Community Stadium until further notice.
We would like to thank North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, our colleagues, partner organisations and the local community for their continued support, patience and understanding over the past few days. We have been incredibly touched by the kindness shown by local people, whose messages of support and offers of help have meant a great deal to our colleagues. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Malton School, whose swift support during the evacuation was invaluable.
We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.
