Our services

Oncology and palliative care physiotherapy service

The service provides physiotherapeutic assessment and treatment of a wide range of physical conditions in patients who have a cancer diagnoses, at  any stage of their illness.

It provides support and advice for families, carers and other health care professionals.

As part of a multi disciplinary team it aims to help maintain patients in their preferred place of care at the end of life.

The service is provided primarily on a domiciliary, basis with access to out patient facilities at York acute Trust sites.

If you have travelled from China, Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia or Macau to the UK in the last 14 days and are experiencing symptoms of cough, shortness of breath or fever please don’t go to your GP practice or come to hospital.  Please stay indoors, avoid contact with others and ring NHS 111 for advice.
