The hospital has a cafe which serves a selection of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 2.30pm. It is closed on weekends and bank holidays.

Menu serving times:

  • Breakfast - served from 8.00am until 11.00am
  • Lunch - served from 11:00am until 2.00pm
  • Grab & Go - served from 2:00pm until 2.30pm (Pre-packed sandwiches, sweets, biscuits, and hot and cold drinks).

Both cash and card are accepted.

Food and drink vending machines are located on the ground floor main waiting area.

Cash machine

Please note that cash machine facilities are not available on site. The nearest cash machine is at ‘One Stop shop’, 10 minutes walk away towards Selby town centre (left turn leaving the hospital driveway). Alternatively, a two-minute drive to the Tesco Express Store on Doncaster Road (right turn leaving the hospital driveway).

Post Box

There is no post box on site; however, stamped addressed mail may be left at the ground floor reception desk for collection by Royal Mail (Monday to Friday only).

Pharmacy

There is no pharmacy on site. The nearest one is a five-minute walk away on the Beech Tree Doctors’ Surgery site on Doncaster Road (right turn out of the hospital driveway).

Visiting is between 1.30pm-5pm and 6pm-7.30pm

We are aware of a fire within the grounds of Malton Hospital.

All patients and colleagues have been safely evacuated, and there are no reports of any injuries.
