Benefits support

Financial issues can cause worry when someone becomes ill. You may be able to claim benefits to help you in your situation. You may also be able to get financial assistance from other organisations. Cancer Psychology service

The Cancer Psychology team offer psychological and emotional support for patients and families. For more information about the Cancer Psychology service click here or ask a member of your healthcare team for a referral to the Psychology team.

Living Well With Cancer DVD

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has produced a series of short films to support those Living With and Beyond a cancer diagnosis.

The films cover fear of recurrence, coping with worry, fatigue, diet, relationship concerns and how to pick the right level of physical activity and plan for the future.

‘Look Good...Feel Better’ pamper therapy

Attending a ‘Look Good…Feel Better’ session can help cancer patients in a practical and positive way.  We host the skincare and make-up workshops to help combat the visible side-effects of cancer treatment which, in turn, may boost your confidence.  To book a place call or drop-in to the Centre.  Visit the Look Good...Feel Better website here to find out more.

We are aware of a fire within the grounds of Malton Hospital.

All patients and colleagues have been safely evacuated, and there are no reports of any injuries.
