Work experience
Work experience placements are available for school, college, and sixth-form students aged 16 and over.
Current opportunities
NHS summer shadowing programme
For any year 12 students interested in a career in the NHS (clinical and non-clinical opportunities available). Shadow a member of staff for a day in a profession of your choice during the school summer holidays (subject to availability). Apply before 31 May 2024.
Apply to shadow a doctor for a day.
Apply to shadow any other NHS role.
Other opportunities
Volunteer with us
Alternatively, or additionally, you could apply to be a volunteer at the Trust. This is open to any student aged 16+ and includes direct contact with patients in wards. Volunteer applications require background checks. Click here for more information on volunteering.
