Opportunities for adults (aged 18+)
Whether you're a university student wanting to gain experience in an NHS role, or already in employment and looking for a new challenge, one of our work experience placements could be right for you.
16 November 2023: We currently do not have any work experience opportunities available, but please check back as this page is updated regularly.
Adults thinking of an NHS career can apply for work shadowing at our Trust. This provides an opportunity for a 'day in the life' experience of a variety of NHS roles. It's a good insight for anyone looking at employment or a career change.
Volunteer with us
Alternatively, or additionally, you could apply to be a volunteer at the Trust. This is open to any student aged 16+ and includes direct contact with patients in wards. Volunteer applications require background checks. Click here for more information on volunteering.
There over 350 roles in the NHS – it’s not just doctors and nurses. To find your future career, visit healthcareers.nhs.uk.
There are also many routes into the NHS. You could start in an entry level job with the Trust, do a further education qualification like a T-Level, do an apprenticeship, go to university, or do a post-graduate qualification.
For information on entry level (Band 2) roles there are in the Trust, please visit our vacancies page.
