Adults thinking of an NHS career can apply for work shadowing at our Trust. This provides an opportunity for a 'day in the life' experience of a variety of NHS roles. It's a good insight for anyone looking at employment or a career change.

Alternatively, or additionally, you could apply to be a volunteer at the Trust. This is open to any student aged 16+ and includes direct contact with patients in wards. Volunteer applications require background checks. Click here for more information on volunteering.

There are also many routes into the NHS. You could start in an entry level job with the Trust, do a further education qualification like a T-Level, do an apprenticeship, go to university, or do a post-graduate qualification.

Resident doctor strike action

Resident doctors will be taking strike action from 7am on 17 December to 7am on 22 December. Some appointments and procedures may be affected. If your appointment needs to be changed, we will contact you.

If you've not heard from us, please attend your appointment as planned.

Please continue to come forward for care, particularly in an emergency or life-threatening situation. Use NHS 111 to find the most appropriate service for your needs.
