One of the most iconic races of the year and we have a place for you! Run the 13.1 miles from Newcastle to South Shields with the support of thousands of people and be part of something amazing.

Think you can take on the Great North Run challenge? Read Mark's story to inspire you!

Mark (right photo) decided to run the Great North Run in 2019 to raise money for the Butterfly Appeal after sadly losing his granddaughter just 3 minutes after she was born.

Mark said "After watching my daughter go through the pain of losing her baby Alice Sarah, and been able to spend precious moments with Alice in a room which most people won't even know is there, I decided I want to say thank you in a way that might help support other families who go through a similar experience."

Mark raised over £1,500 through sponsorship for his run! (And he's signed up for his 2021 places already!)

A 24 mile circular walk across the Yorkshire Three Peaks offering amazing views and a great team atmosphere. A fully marshalled walk with checkpoints offering refreshments and support from the Charity Team who will be there to spur you on.

Starting in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, you will begin your journey hiking up Pen-Y-Ghent, past Ribblehead Viaduct to ascend Whernside and finally tackle the short scramble up Ingleborough before heading back into Horton-in-Ribblesdale where we will be waiting to celebrate your return.

It will be an early start with most walkers expected to complete the challenge in 12 hours. You will need to put in the training and once you are signed up, you will receive a in depth information pack.

Choose to pay the £30 registration fee yourself and then raise a minimum sponsorship amount of £125 OR Self-fund the walk by making a one off donation of £79

If you need some inspiration to sign up, take a look at why members of HR Team at Scarborough took part.

HR at the Start

Meika, Jenny and Nic are all employees within the Trust and see first-hand the ways in which charitable donations make such a difference to patient experience. They also love a challenge!

The team said "It was a brilliant day. The scenery was amazing and there was great camaraderie among the walkers. The support from the charity team was also fantastic and we really welcomed the moral support, snacks and drinks at the checkpoints! We felt a real sense of achievement both in completing the challenge and also raising over £650 for the charity."

The team say they would highly recommend walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks for York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity and might be back next year to crack their 10 hour time!

We no longer offer a skydive challenge event, but you can still sign up for one yourself and raise money for your local hospital! Take to the skies, reach your limit and have the most exhilarating experience of your life. Check out Simon's skydive!

Already have your own place?
We cannot get places for all events, but you could by entering directly. If our events don't take your fancy but you would like to raise money whilst completing a challenge, then please let us know! Join our team and we will support you with all your fundraising needs.
