What to do when someone makes a donation

York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity are legally obliged to receipt all donations and thank the donors. Our processes are audited to ensure we comply with Charity Commission regulations.

Therefore we must ensure all donation received on the ward are either brought to the charity offices in York (main reception) or Scarborough (Woodlands House) or paid in via cashiers or general offices.

Donations must not be kept on wards or spent without following the charity process.  The charity team are happy to come and collect donations if necessary or to talk to the donors about their options. Please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01904 724521 or via charity.fundraising@york.nhs.uk.
