Introducing our Annual Report and Accounts 2025-26
Each year, our Annual Report provides a snapshot of the progress we’ve made, the challenges we’ve faced, and the priorities that have shaped our work. It’s a chance to reflect on what we’ve achieved together and to thank the dedicated teams, partners and communities who help us provide safe, high-quality care.
We’re proud to share our annual report's - a transparent and honest account of how we’re working to improve health and care for everyone we serve.
Annual Members’ Meeting incorporating the Trust’s Annual General Meeting 2025-26
Each year, we invite people across York, Scarborough and North Yorkshire to hear more about their local NHS, the progress made over the past year and the priorities ahead at the Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting.
The meeting is an opportunity to hear directly from the Trust’s Board about the past year, learn more about the services our Trust provides across our hospitals and communities, and hear about the challenges and opportunities ahead. There is also an opportunity to put questions directly to members of the Trust Board, either in advance or during a live question and answer session.
Our most recent event took place on Wednesday 23 September 2026. If you were unable to attend, a recording is available below.
Feedback on Outpatient Services
A member asked why it can be difficult for outpatients to provide feedback about their care, noting that some outpatient clinics do not appear to have Friends and Family Test (FFT) paper cards available and that online feedback options for outpatient services were not currently accessible.
The Trust explained that it has recently moved to a new Friends and Family Test provider, with feedback now collected primarily through QR codes. Paper feedback forms remain available on request from reception and administrative staff. The Trust also acknowledged that there is a current issue affecting outpatient feedback links on the website and confirmed that work is underway with the provider to resolve this.
In response, the Trust agreed that undertaking an audit was a reasonable suggestion and confirmed that this would be considered. The Trust also advised that work is ongoing with the external provider to resolve the website issue and that it hopes to make outpatient feedback links available in the near future.
We were delighted to welcome colleagues and members on Thursday 2 October 2025 for the year’s Annual Members' Meeting (AMM) and Annual General Meeting (AGM). Couldn’t join us on the day? Don’t worry - you can catch up anytime by watching the full recording here.
A Quality Account is an annual report about the quality of services delivered by the Trust. It is an opportunity to share some of the work and changes made during the year to improve the quality of care given to patients.
When Quality Accounts were first introduced in 2010 its aim was to drive quality improvement. Sixteen years on, driving quality improvement is now normal practice. This Quality Account aligns with the intentions described in the Trust’s Quality Strategy and its associated annual plan. As such, the Quality Account is not a stand alone document but is integrated into the routine business of the organisation. The publication of the report is required in law. A lot of the content, and the way it is written, is mandated. At times, explanations in yellow boxes are given to assist with understanding.
