Board of Directors

The role of the Board of Directors is to manage the Trust by:

  • setting the overall strategic direction of the Trust, within the context of NHS priorities
  • regularly monitoring our performance against objectives
  • providing effective financial stewardship through value for money, financial control and financial planning.

The Board of Directors comprises of the Chairman and Chief Executive, the executive directors and non-executive directors.

Board of Directors meetings

The Board of Directors holds Board meetings in public.  This means that anyone is welcome to attend the meeting as an observer. View Board of Directors meeting information and times.

Sub Committees of the Board are:

  • Remuneration Committee
  • Group Audit Committee
  • Quality Committee
  • Resources Committee

Update for visitors

Visiting restrictions are in place at our hospitals to stop the spread of norovirus. These restrictions will be in place until further notice.

There are four exceptions only to the restrictions. These are:

We understand these restrictions can be difficult when a loved one is unwell. The restrictions will be reviewed daily and lifted as soon as it is safe. Thank you for your understanding as we try to reduce the spread of norovirus in our hospitals.
